Rev. Daniel J. Brege . - born November 11, 1952 in Grand Haven, Michigan, one of seven children (4 boys and 3 girls). His parents were Rev. Robert and Mrs. Edna Brege. Pastor Daniel’s older brother, William, was a former preacher on Worship for Shut-Ins. As a child Pastor Brege lived in Springfield, Illinois; Rock Island, Illinois; and St. Joseph, Michigan, where he graduated from high school. He then attended Lake Michigan Jr. College in Benton Harbor, Michigan and Grand Valley State University, Grand Rapids, Michigan, majoring in mathematics and elementary education where he received a bachelor’s degree and graduated cum laude in 1974. He married Lynn nee Horlock on June 16, 1973. They were blessed with seven children (5 daughters and 2 sons). He taught four years in the Berrien Springs Public School system. He received a Master of Divinity Degree from Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne in May of 1982. He has been pastor of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Decatur, Indiana, since July of 1982 and has received a Doctor of Ministry Degree from Concordia Seminary, Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Rev. Thomas Ahlersmeyer ~ is married to wife Janet and are parents to six children. Rev. Ahlersmeyer has served Holy Cross a little over two years. Prior to coming to Fort Wayne, he served as President of Concordia University, Ann Arbor from 2003-2009 and Executive Director of the Cleveland Lutheran High School Association in Northeast Ohio from 1995-2003. His 31 years of ordained ministry has almost been divided equally between parish ministry and educational leadership at the secondary and collegiate levels. The parishes that he served previously were at Trinity Lutheran Church and School in Toledo, Ohio; St. Paul Lutheran Church and School in Boca Raton, Florida; and St. Luke Lutheran Church in Wauseon, Ohio. He is a graduate of Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne, Indiana. Some of the boards that he has served on are: Board of Communication Services of the LCMS, Board of Regents of Concordia University Ann Arbor, Board of Trustees, Bethesda Lutheran Communities, Lutheran Social Services Board of Trustees, Edumenical Communication Commission Board of Trustees, and the Women's Crisis Pregnancy Center. This year he has been named to the Board of Lutheran Special education Ministries, which is an international ministry that has enabled children with special learning needs to receive a Christian education since 1873.

Rev. Paul E. Shoemaker was born on March 23, 1952 in Baltimore, Maryland, the son of Paul and Joan Shoemaker, and has two sisters. He married Cheri nee Recksiedler on August 9, 1975. They are parents of two sons and two daughters. His education includes Pilgrim Lutheran Elementary, Baltimore Lutheran Junior-Senior High School, graduating in 1970. He then attended Concordia College, Bronxville, N.Y., graduating in 1972; Concordia Senior College, Fort Wayne, Indiana, graduated in 1974; Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne, graduating in 1978; Luther Northwestern Seminary, St. Paul, Minnesota 1978-79; Concordia Seminary, Fort Wayne, graduate studies in progress. He served Christ Lutheran Church, North Lake, Illinois, 1979-1981; St. Lorenz Lutheran Church, Frankenmuth, Michigan, 1981-1989; and Emanuel Lutheran Church, New Haven, Indiana, 1989-present as Senior Pastor. Dr. Walter A. Maier III. B.A., M. Div., M.A., Ph.D. - married to Nancy and has two daughters. He is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Walter Maier II, received his college education at Concordia College, Ann Arbor, Michigan and Concordia Senior College, Fort Wayne, Indiana. He then entered Concordia Theological Seminary, Springfield, Illinois. Having vicared at Faith Lutheran Church in Whittier, California, he completed his last year of seminary training at Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne, graduating in 1978. The fall of that year he entered the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences of Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He received the M.A. and Ph.D. degrees in 1984. After his ordination, Dr. Walter Maier began teaching at Concordia College, River Forest, Illinois in September, 1984, as an assistant professor. He was a member of the college’s Theology Department, teaching courses mainly in the Old Testament, but also in the New Testament. In addition, he taught Hebrew. In May of 1989 he was elevated to the rank of associate professor and appointed chairman of the Theology Department. Dr. Maier joined the Exegetical Department of Concordia Theological Seminary in November, 1989, as an Assistant Professor. He was elevated to Associate Professor in February, 1993. He was Assistant Pastor at Concordia Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne, Indiana from December 1989 through November, 1992. He served as pastoral assistant at Emanuel Lutheran Church, New Haven, Indiana.

Rev. James Elsner was ordained and installed as Pastor of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Hudson (Stroh), Indiana, in May of 2002,. Pastor Jim origonally began his associati0n with the congregation in October, 1999, when as a student at Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne, IN, he was assigned as "Field Worker" for Prince of Peace. Before entering the seminary, Pastor Jim served congregations of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synd in Ohio, Illinois, California, Colorado and Wisconsin for 25 years as elementary teacher and principal, youth minister, and Director of Christian Education. He holds a bachelor of Science degree in Education from Concordia University-Nebraska (1973), a Master of Education degree from Xavier University (Cincinnati) (1979), LCMS DCE certification (1988), and a Master of Arts in Religion degree from Concordia Theological Seminary (Fort Wayne, IN) (2001). As a Director of Christian Education, Rev. Elsner was the President (1993-1996) of Theological Educators in Associated Ministries (TEAM), a department of the Lutheran Education Association (LEA), a national Lutheran organization for professional church workers. He has also served the church-at-large through the districts of the LCMS in a variety of capacities in youth ministry and parish education leadership roles. Pastor has also served his communities as a leader in the Boy Scouts of America, in Aid Association for Lutherans and Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, and as pastoral advisor for an LWML zone. Pastor Jim has been married to his wife Elaine since 1974. the have one teen-age son, Stephen.
