"Clashes in Christ"

by Rev. Dr. Daniel J. Brege, St. Paul Lutheran Church~Decatur, IN

As Christians we see Jesus experiencing clashes in His life, just as if He were one of us…a fallen, sinful, dying human being. Christ, the sinless one, becomes sin. (2 Cor. 5:21) Christ, the one completely endowed by the Holy Spirit, is cast by the Spirit into the wilderness.  Christ, the Son of God, is sent to be tempted by Satan.  Christ, the source of life, is on His way to the cross.  In these clashes of Christ, we find victory.
